No weed-invaded terrace to miss,
No flaking paint upon rails;
No ruts, no slope, no undulations,
No history, nor legendary tales…
No memorabilia, no vintage shirts,
No aura, no ghosts of cheers;
No grandstand relic, no grimy seats,
No heritage, no excuse for tears…
Yet integral was that spiritual home,
That perfect surface, that unique stage;
Overseeing the rise of Coventry United:
