BORROWASH MANAGER GARY HAMSON COMMENTS ON THE VICTORY @ ELLISTOWN...

The conditions at Ellistown were very testing although the quality of the pitch was good despite the strong wind and driving rain.

E&I used the wind to their advantage in the first-half but Kye Hall’s goal was a quality strike. Unfortunately our centre-backs lacked communication straight away after the goal, switched off and were punished.

Idris’ immediate fine left-foot strike put us ahead again but Peter Aliguma found himself out of position almost straight away and the home team equalised. I was very unhappy with the lack of discipline shown by the lads on both occasions.

Kye’s second goal, which was a delicate, chipped effort, was the only strike for Vics in the second period, despite having the strength of the wind behind us. We could have won this game by four or five goals.

After resting Danny Briscoe, substitute Adam Martin looked decent at left-back when skipper Scott Birch moved into centre defence.
