'BOOM...' A POEM ABOUT MOUSEHOLE...

Boom…

The loud “Boom…” generated,
Preceding a feature in the cinematic experience,
Although toned down these days,
Would throw me from my seat
In shock, thoroughly agitated…

I was reminded of that sudden clump
As the winter tide’s thump
Smacked at Mousehole’s wooden harbour baulks
And its granite harbour wall’s boulder hulks,
Preceding its own natural cinematic recurrence…

That cinema wake-up call would terrify older audiences in Solihull but the toned down version has appeased those of nervous disposition.
The Mousehole explosion is quite acceptable, however…
