PERSHORE TOWN manager Quentin Townsend comments on the defeat by Coventry United...

A night on the bog...

"I felt that until we had a man sent off on 25 mins we were more than matching them. Obviously then playing on an absolute bog of a pitch for over an hour with ten men did eventually take its toll on us I'm afraid. They had the luxury of being able to make substitutions during the last 20 minutes that are always going to make a big impact, particularly when most teams will be tiring in that period. That's why they score a lot of goals in the last quarter of a game and particularly the last ten minutes. But having said that, fair play to them and the league table doesn't lie."
