BINFIELD'S CHRIS DEAN WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S 2-5 VICTORY @ TUFFLEY ROVERS...

CHRIS DEAN SEEMS HAPPY ENOUGH AFTER SCORING...

"Really appreciated THE MOWDOG filming the game and doing a report from Saturday's win at Tuffley. Especially as he managed to record my first goal for Binfield!

It was a very tough game to play in with the high winds/rain and a very muddy pitch, however we were very happy with how we managed the game. We went 1-0 down against the run of play and in the past we might have let that affect us but we are now much stronger as a team and went in leading 3-1 at half-time.

At 4-1 I think we did feel the game was dead and buried but fair play to Tuffley as they got back into the game, making it 4-2 and they could have had another penalty, which would have made the last 15 minutes very interesting. However we managed to stay strong and Ferdi, who is in fantastic form at the moment, completed his hatrick to give us a 5-2 lead and that finished the game.

We have a fantastic team spirit down at Binfield at the moment and even with our two most experienced players out with injury/illness we managed to pull off a good result and get the job done. We have a young team and everyone is improving every week and it is a real pleasure to play with players with whom you also associate as mates.

Hopefully we can carry on our momentum and finish as high as possible in the league and also finish with a cup win this season.

Thanks again to Tuffley for their warm welcome and I wish them good luck for the rest of the season."
