ROGER HERRIDGE, BINFIELD FC MANAGER, COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S 2-5 WIN AT TUFFLEY ROVERS...

CAREFULLY, ROGER (RIGHT) WALKS TO HIS DUGOUT...

"Really pleased with the overall performance and ultimately the result today.

Injuries & illness saw us travel without the services of half a dozen players but those who played certainly took the opportunity afforded to them.

We started the game well but went behind against the run of play, which was disappointing.

Our reaction though was first-class and I felt we were worthy of our 3-1 half time lead.

The second-half was all about seeing the game through. We knew that Tuffley would have to commit players forward which would give us good opportunities on the counter.

My No.9 Ferdinand continued his good form of late with a hat-trick. After being troubled by injury earlier in the season, he has been top-drawer since the turn of the year.

We had a very young squad today, with the oldest being 25 and the majority U23, which bodes well for the future.

Our pre-season target of a top 6 finish is still achievable and with players returning we hope to keep pushing up the table in the next few weeks..."
