TUFFLEY ROVERS STRIKER JORDAN FLETCHER COMMENTS ABOUT HIS TEAM'S 2-5 LOSS TO BINFIELD...

JORDAN FLETCHER, LEFT, HAS JUST OPENED THE SCORING v BINFIELD...

"After Saturday's game, it left me disappointed but also pleased with how the team reacted in the second-half. Taking an unexpected lead through a well worked goal brought some hope that we could get something out of the game, even though we rode the storm in hope that Binfield weren't going to punish us.

Unfortunately a dubious penalty was awarded to Binfield and we found ourselves at 1-1. Two quick goals followed and we found ourselves 3-1 down at half-time.

We came out with guns blazing in the second-half and showed the fight that we have had amongst our squad for the past year and a half, but unfortunately we couldn't create any clear chances, from which Binfield counter attacked and took a 4-1 lead.

Not long after that we were lucky enough to receive a dubious penalty ourselves, from which Brett did very well to put it well out of the goalkeeper's reach. Then the main turning point of the game was when we had an absolute stone-wall penalty shout, in which the referee made another wrong decision.

Therefore, if that had been converted to 4-3 with 15/20minutes to go, the game would have had an interesting finale. It wasn't to be, however and Binfield again found themselves through with another counter attack and took their chance like they had all game.

Overall though the future looks bright for us Tuffley lads, as the average age for Saturday's game was 20/21, just having a lack of experience in some areas. We had 3/4 of our key players out and that was also a big miss.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, Binfield F.C!"
