MICKLEOVER SPORTS 'KEEPER ROSS DURRANT COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S 3-1 VICTORY OVER RAMSBOTTOM UNITED...

The Caravanmen celebrate their third goal...

"I thought we started very slowly and could have been at least one down after 5 minutes but slowly we got ourselves into the game and began to put some passes together.

I thought we defended well throughout the first-half and did the important things well (clearances, second balls, etc) and as soon as the goal came we looked assured and deserved our lead.

After the goal we saw the game out well by taking no chances and doing the basics properly. We started the second-half fairly well and although it was a scrappy game we managed to get some passes in and frustrate the opposition.

Up until their goal that is- one of the best strikes I've seen at any level!

Obviously the sending off didn't help our cause but we were disciplined and kept our shape really well. I think we deserved to score a couple more goals on reflection and I think the full-time result was about right.

I think our right-back did really well on his debut and fitted in without any trouble."
