COVENTRY UNITED COACH HARRY BARNES REVIEWS THE 3-0 WIN @ PELSALL VILLA...

HARRY FINDS IT AMUSING THAT THE TEAM MANAGER IS USING THE SKI-SLOPE ON WHICH TO PRACTISE HIS ICE-SKATING MOVES...
AND HARRY HAS A BALL AT HIS FEET, WHICH IS WHY HE LOOKS RATHER CONCERNED...

"Another win, another clean sheet, another game closer to the end of the season.

I'm getting a reputation from the lads for loving a good statistic so here's a few:

5 clean sheets in our last 6 games...
We have the league's best defensive record...
We have the league's best goalscoring record...
Jamie Coleman has the worst league free-kick record...
Tommy Glasscoe has the best hair in the division... (Really?)

Pelsall played much better last night than in the reverse fixture which was a comfortable 11-0 win for us. They were more organised at the back and frustrated us for a good half an hour or so, until Matt Brown put us 1-0 up.

After this, it took until Kai Williams came off the bench to get the second and make it more comfortable. Kai was unlucky as he'd also scored 2 more goals, but both were brought back for free-kicks as he'd had his shots and both were disallowed!

The news broke that Racing Club Warwick had equalised against Bromsgrove and we heard our supporters cheering and singing, which felt great. And the bench was buzzing.

The atmosphere back in the changing room was brilliant and it shows how much the lads all really want this and that they know there is absolutely NO way we can have any room for complacency.

3 home games in a row now. It's been a difficult and tiring run, in that I'm sure people expected us to slip up, but it's almost over!"
