COVENTRY UNITED'S HARRY BARNES COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S 2-0 WIN @ PILKS XXX...

"LIKE MY QUIFF?"

HARRY HAS LESS CONTROL OF HIS RIGHT LEG, HOWEVER...

"Another 3 points were picked up at Pilkington last night at a ground that we've had bad luck at since we started.

The linesman coming over to me during our warm up and asking to see our physio' about his knee was probably going to be the funniest part about the officials in that game, but apparently not...

A referee insistent on sending one of our players off in that game finally got his way for 'foul and abusive language', a rule which seemed to apply to Callum Burgess but not the Pilkington goalkeeper.

A big shout out for Jamie Coleman, who's never been sent off in his career, as he proudly told me after the game.

Anyway, the game itself was quite difficult for both teams to play proper football with a ridiculously bobbly surface, meaning that a long ball was probably the best route to go.

Josh O'Grady set us off early with a brilliant (shanked) free kick. Coxy then followed, taking advantage of a defensive error, putting it 2-0 at half-time. Josh was also denied a penalty, after which, amusingly the ref somehow gave Josh a yellow card for diving.

The team morale is very high at the moment, and this will ultimately come down to our run of form and making these trips together as players and staff every 2/3 days until the end of the season.

4 points clear, 5 games to go. Not bad is it?"
