BRINKLOW STRIKER BLAKE KASSAR COMMENTS ON THE 1-3 FRIENDLY GAME LOSS TO BARNT GREEN SPARTAK...

BLAKE KASSAR LAST SEASON, IN A GAME @ COPSEWOOD...

"We started the game on the back foot after Barnt took a very early lead. We knew we needed to respond quickly as they were starting to look comfortable on the ball. We got ourselves back in to the game fairly quickly though, looking dangerous on the break and utilising the width to good effect.

We were just missing the end product, where it counted but shortly before the break we equalised with a well worked move.

It was fairly even over the 90 minutes, either team could have come away with the result. I don't feel we played our best football throughout, but it was a close contest nonetheless, which is definitely a positive in itself.

We had a couple of chances at 1-1 and if one had gone in, it would obviously have been a different game.

We conceded two more goals in the later stages of the second-half that saw Barnt come away with the win, but there were more positives to take forward than negatives.

We'll move onto next week, where the real test begins. I feel we have the quality throughout the squad to have a successful season and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
