FLACKWELL HEATH MANAGER PAUL SHONE WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S 0-3 DEFEAT TO COCKFOSTERS IN THE FA VASE...

PAUL SHONE: RATHER UNHAPPY...

"I was still a bear with a sore head yesterday and was out with the family all day, which was fun!

Regards Saturday: yes, so disappointed from our point of view to lose how we did.

I thought we had good control of the game for 30 minutes then they grew into it. Then a moment of luck for them and a poor defensive error right on half time gifted Cockfosters a 1-0 lead.

An old football saying is 'goals change games' and that's what that did. They went in tails up and came out for the 2nd half and did a job on us.

Again I thought we started brightly for 10-15 minutes but without really causing them any trouble, then once again another defensive error gave them goal number two.

We had to chase it of course but yet again another gift for them and 3-0, game over and we were out of the FA Vase for another year.

To say I wasn't happy is an understatement and the words used afterwards to the players weren't that kind.

This is happening far too often and it must stop if we are going to give this league title a go.

In the coming days/week I'll be looking to make a few changes because I think that's what is needed.

Good luck to Dean and Simmo and all at Cockfosters in the next round and for the Season..."
