RACING CLUB WARWICK MANAGER SCOTT EASTERLOW REVIEWS THE WIN v BROCTON...

RACING CLUB WARWICK MANAGER SCOTT EASTERLOW COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S 3-2 WIN v BROCTON...

"Pleased to get the first win under our belts but I don't feel we reached the heights of last week's football and we certainly didn't create as many chances as last week, yet we scored more goals today... That's football though!

The buzz in the changing room afterwards was fantastic and something we want more of in the following weeks. We drew last week but it felt like a loss after having so much of the ball and not really seeing the game out.

The longer you go without a win, the more it becomes an issue, so hopefully the three points today will settle us down and help in the weeks to come.

I felt we controlled the game for long periods all afternoon but never looked razor sharp in the final third. We still have plenty to work on, I know that but I have a good honest group of lads here and as long as they know that as well, we're on right path. That being said, the foundations are there, we just need to fine-tune ourselves.

At 3-1 up v Brocton we should have gone 4-1 and even maybe 5-1 up but chances just eluded us; on another day they could go in and we would have a comfortable last half-hour but as it was we conceded a sloppy goal with time running out. That gave us a nervy 10 minutes at the end.

It showed though that when the lads need to dig in and get the job done, they can. Brocton are a decent side and I expect them to win more games than they lose.

It will be a tough reverse fixture later in the season..."
