ALCESTER TOWN STRIKER LOUIS BRIDGES LOOKS FORWARD TO TOMORROW'S CHALLENGE VASE FINAL v GNP SPORTS...

Your thoughts about the game tomorrow?

"It’s always good to be involved in a Cup Final, for there are very few occasions when you actually play in them. I haven’t played in one since losing to Bromsgrove Sporting at the Bescot Stadium, so I’m looking forward to the evening. It’s going to be a tight affair, they always are but the key for us is to stay in the game as long as possible."

You played GNP recently. What did u think about their performance on that day?

"There is no question that they are the best side at this level, all over the park and particularly going forward they have several options. In truth we were fortunate to only lose 1-0 for they had enough chances to win by two or three goals. Fortunately for us, defensively they are beatable and we will look to exploit that on the night."

Winning trophies is so important to players, so you must be really pumped up for tomorrow...

"Of course, we all want to play in big games and the whole season's work comes down to these last 10 days. All we can do is give it everything and hope it’s enough. All the pressure is on them though, as they are odds-on favourites."

What type of game are you expecting?

"I am expecting a tight game; both teams will appreciate the importance of the first goal and if there is an early goal neither team will be naive in desperately trying to get back into it immediately. I expect the game to be won or lost in the last 20 minutes."

Personally, how would you evaluate your own season at Alcester?

"I only joined Alcester in January and due to the terrible winter it’s been half a season in two months. I have enjoyed playing and we’ve won a lot of games and my performances have improved alongside my fitness..."

Many thanks to Louis Bridges, the Alcester Town striker, whose last gasp penalty beat rivals Boldmere Falcons on Saturday...
